My philosophy centers around three core values, Creativity, Community, and Culture, and a process I call the ‘C Process’: Conceptualize, Collaborate, Cultivate.
How do I work?
Creativity is more than expression; it is a strategy for understanding and problem-solving. It allows me to design for real needs and make connections.
Tool for impact
Creativity
I prioritize listening, sharing, and creating across different backgrounds and perspectives to empower individuals. I believe great ideas come from diverse perspectives, not just one person.
Its all about the people
Community
I design with empathy and intention to reflect real cultural identities and communities. Understanding cultural nuances is key to creating experiences where every identity feels seen and represented.

Conceptualize
I build bold, intentional ideas.
I create with & through others.
I shape & develop experiences that last.
Collaborate
Cultivate
Every project starts by exploring, researching, and collecting inspiration. This is where I connect insights, experiment, and ask, “Who is the audience and what is the intention?”
Creativity grows in conversation, so I work with others to challenge my thinking, gain new perspectives, and expand ideas. Diversity allows me to connect with people and audiences authentically.
This is where I dive deeper into refining, developing, and crafting the idea into real interactions. I focus on care, intention, and execution so each outcome feels alive and thoughtfully made.
The ‘C’ Process
At UWCSA Waterford Kamhlaba, I got to immerse myself in a global community that emphasized curiosity + purpose. Here, I understood how creativity could connect people and communities.
As a team member, she does not hesitate to support beyond her work scope. She will not settle for anything less than what she considers excellent, even when the rest of the team is satisfied.
Sam showcases a balance between business acumen and design capabilities, and that’s one of the many reasons she’s a great co-worker.
